Account and Data Deletion

1. Sign in to the SousMate account you want to delete.
2. Open Settings.
3. Select Delete Account.
4. Read the confirmation message and confirm permanent deletion.

If you cannot access the app, email support@sousmate.app from the email address associated with the account. We may ask for information needed to verify account ownership.

An App Store subscription belongs to your Apple Account, not only your SousMate account. To stop future renewals, open iOS Settings, tap your name, tap Subscriptions, choose SousMate, and tap Cancel Subscription. You can also follow Apple's cancellation instructions.

Delete your SousMate account only after deciding what to do with the subscription. Once the account is deleted, Dcipher LLC may no longer be able to connect the remaining Apple entitlement to that deleted account.

Account deletion is designed to remove user-owned data from our active database, including:

• Your authentication account and profile.
• Allergens, dietary preferences, cuisines, dislikes, skill level, and household size.
• Meal schedule, pantry inventory, meal plans, commitments, and saved recipes.
• Cooking history, ratings, notes, usage counters, and feature consent settings.
• Push tokens, scheduled reminders, and associated delivery records.
• AI response reports and user-linked subscription event records in our database.

Some information may remain for a limited period or where legally required:

• Encrypted backups may retain a temporary residual copy until the applicable backup is overwritten under our provider's retention schedule.
• Apple and RevenueCat may retain purchase, receipt, fraud-prevention, tax, and financial records under their own legal obligations and retention policies.
• Google may retain AI prompts and responses for a limited period for abuse monitoring, security, and legal compliance under paid Gemini API terms.
• We may retain minimal records needed to document a deletion request, prevent fraud, comply with law, resolve disputes, or enforce agreements.

Residual records are not used to recreate your account or for advertising. Where practical, retained records are minimized, isolated from ordinary product use, or de-identified.

• It does not cancel, refund, or transfer an App Store subscription.
• It does not delete information Apple maintains for your Apple Account.
• It does not reverse information lawfully processed before deletion.
• It does not remove recipe content owned by Dcipher LLC from the service.

For help with deletion, email support@sousmate.app. Do not send your password, payment card details, or full App Store receipt by email.
