Billing, without surprises
Subscription Terms
These terms explain how SousMate Plus and Pro subscriptions work when purchased through Apple. The purchase screen always shows the controlling localized price and billing period before you confirm.
1. Plans and billing periods
SousMate may offer Free, Plus, and Pro plans. Plus and Pro can be offered with monthly or annual billing periods. Each plan provides the features and usage limits displayed in the app when you subscribe. Plan features may evolve, but we will not materially reduce the core value of an active paid period without notice or a remedy required by law.
Prices vary by country, currency, tax treatment, eligibility, and offer. The App Store purchase confirmation displays the full amount Apple will charge, the subscription duration, and the renewal price. For an annual plan, the annual amount shown by Apple is the amount billed even if the app also displays an equivalent monthly amount for comparison.
2. Payment and automatic renewal
- Apple charges your Apple Account when you confirm the purchase.
- The subscription renews automatically for the same billing period until you turn off automatic renewal.
- Apple charges the applicable renewal price and handles taxes, currency conversion, payment authorization, receipts, and billing failures.
- Subscription access may continue during any billing grace period Apple makes available and ends when Apple or RevenueCat reports that entitlement as inactive.
RevenueCat validates the App Store receipt and communicates entitlement status to SousMate. Dcipher LLC does not receive your complete payment card information.
3. Trials and promotional offers
We may offer a free trial, introductory price, promotional offer, offer code, or win-back offer. Eligibility is determined by Apple and may be limited to one introductory offer per subscription group. The purchase screen will show the offer duration, amount charged during the offer, and regular renewal price.
When a free or discounted period ends, the subscription automatically renews at the displayed regular price unless canceled. If you do not want renewal, cancel at least 24 hours before the trial or discounted period ends, as Apple recommends.
4. How to cancel
You can cancel at any time through Apple:
- Open Settings on your iPhone or iPad.
- Tap your name, then tap Subscriptions.
- Select SousMate.
- Tap Cancel Subscription and follow Apple's instructions.
You may also use Apple's subscription cancellation instructions. Cancellation normally takes effect at the end of the paid period. You keep paid access until the expiration date Apple reports, unless a refund or other adjustment ends access earlier.
5. Upgrades, downgrades, and plan changes
Apple controls the timing and billing effect of changes between Plus, Pro, monthly, and annual options in the same subscription group. An upgrade may take effect immediately, while a downgrade or some crossgrades may begin on the next renewal date. Apple shows the applicable charge, credit, and effective date before confirmation.
6. Restoring purchases
If you reinstall SousMate or use another supported device, sign in to the SousMate account connected to the purchase and choose Restore Purchases on the paywall. The Apple Account used for restoration must have the relevant active purchase. If restoration does not work, confirm the Apple Account shown on your receipt and contact support.
7. Refunds
Apple processes App Store charges and determines refund eligibility under Apple's policies and applicable law. Dcipher LLC cannot directly issue a refund for an Apple-processed transaction. To request one, sign in at reportaproblem.apple.com and choose Request a refund.
Canceling stops future renewals but does not automatically refund the current period. Refund rights provided by local consumer law are not limited by these terms.
8. Price changes
Subscription prices may change for future periods. Apple provides the notices and requests any consent required for a price increase. Depending on the amount, timing, and country, a price increase may require affirmative consent. If required consent is not provided, Apple may allow the subscription to expire at the end of the current period. You can cancel before the new price takes effect.
9. Account deletion is separate
Deleting your SousMate account does not cancel your Apple subscription. Cancel through Apple first if you do not want another renewal, then delete your account in SousMate Settings. Once account deletion is complete, Dcipher LLC may no longer be able to associate a valid Apple entitlement with a deleted SousMate account.
10. Billing support
For receipt, payment-method, refund, or Apple Account issues, contact Apple Support. For missing SousMate access, restoration, or plan-feature issues, email support@sousmate.app and include the plan name and purchase date. Do not email full payment card details or account passwords.
